Successful incubations from our group include Copilot, Copilot Workspace, GitHub Spark, and many more.I joined the group at its inception, when it was still the Office of the CTO. I helped to boot it up: Identifying and selecting areas of research, hiring domain expertise to work on those projects, working out the interface with the wider GitHub engineering and product org, establishing partnerships with peer organizations across GitHub and Microsoft, and crafting both internal and public comms for our projects.
