I have learnt Terraform, AWS, Kubernetes along with GIT, JIRA and other scrum tools and utilized these as part of a new DevOps team set up within the organization to build a semi-automated method of constructing and maintaining Kubernetes clusters, this is now core to multiple new application deployments within the department. It saves a considerable amount of time and knowledge.I am providing DevSecOps support and consultancy to various Dev and Ops teams within the company across the globe.I continue to support the local data centre and provide 24/7 support to maintain functional availability times for clients of 99.999%.During 2019 I have moved the local data centre for the third time since I started at Vaisala.

During this period of time, I constructed 3 data centers, each time utilizing up and coming technologies, continually reducing running costs and time. In addition, I have been able to improve availability of systems to the present levels of 99.999% of functional availability.The latest data center utilizes a mixture of highly available redundant VMware and SAN technologies with load balancing and highly secure systems to achieve the high availability required by our clients.I worked closely with vendors negotiating the contracts and designs we were to utilize.I have become highly experienced in RedHat Linux and through this I have gained and maintained my RedHat Certified Engineer certification.Utilizing my training and skills with Kali and Cyber Security I have obtained Penetration Testing Professional certification (CPTP) and used these skills to design and secure the data centers. I am also continually testing and monitoring systems for vulnerabilities and patching as appropriate.I successfully deployed a network (including VPN’s, WAN’s and VLAN’s) and security systems (Firewalls, IDS etc) as well as the design and construction of VM’s to run in house applications based on multiple technologies such as glassfish, tomcat, Postgres and Oracle.I provide 24/7 3rd line support in order to maintain high availability of systems for clients to use.
