Project focuses on the resolution of cross-border financial institutions, analysing the range of policy instruments used by (inter)national regulators, central banks, institutions and governments to respond to the 2008 global financial crisis. Key themes of research:-Navigating legal relationships between international institutions operating in particular domestic contexts-Determining fiduciary responsibility for international financial institutions-Identifying cooperative mechanisms to encourage collaboration and information sharing amongst states

Facilitating the work of The Carter Center, a not-for-profit, nongovernmental organization that has helped to improve life for people in more than 80 countries by resolving conflicts; advancing democracy, human rights, and economic opportunity; preventing diseases; and improving mental health care. Particular programmatic focus on consolidating democratic governance in Franco/West Africa.•Conducted independent Research on Chinese mining copper investments in the Democratic Republic of Congo•Translated bilateral donor proposals, communications from field offices, and communications between government officials from French to English for senior management•Spearheaded conversations with senior Francophone cabinet officials in the Central African Republic proposing strategic plan for organizational engagement in 2015 national elections•Developed policy recommendations on political and civil rights in Cote D’Ivoire for the United Nations Human Rights Council on behalf of The Carter Center

Elected to the Queen's University Senate on behalf of over 9000 Arts and Science students. Actively participated in Senate discussions including: enrollment management, academic development, online learning and virtualization, non-academic discipline, and institutional governance models. Elected on behalf of 16 other student senators to be the Chair of the Student Senate Caucus, working to provide an accessible forum for all student senators from numerous disciplines to engage and share information regarding University governance. Regular interactions with senior administration.Highlighted Committee Work:- Senate Committee on Academic Development. With a mandate to overview the creation of new academic programs and initiatives, this year the committee was tasked with creation of a policy on program closure.- Arts and Science Curriculum Committee: Served as a student representative on substantive changes to course offerings, degree plans, and broader issues facing the academic environment of Queen's Arts and Science. Served on subcommitees devoted to online learning and and ancillary fees.- Arts and Science Faculty Board: Served as voting member of faculty board as Senator.- Budget Model Implementation Committee: As sole student representative to the Dean's committee on implementation of the new budget model, worked on developing a formula for the allocation of over $170million dollars across 20 academic departments.- Arts and Science Undergraduate Society (ASUS): As a voting member of Assembly, provided context and enhanced discussion on the role of ASUS in campus life.- Alma Mater Society (AMS) Assembly: By virtue of the role, served a year as a non-voting member of the Assembly of the Alma Mater Society, providing Senate-related information while also participating in other wide-ranging discussions pertaining to Queen’s students (teaching issues, campus activities, municipal affairs, corporate services, etc.)

Queen'S University At Kingston Ontario

I was responsible for serving and representing the academic interests of 15,000 Queen's students to the University administration and the Government of Ontario. I acted as the chief undergraduate student advocate in areas of academic policy, grievances, curriculum development, financial accessibility, pedagogical infrastructure, teaching and learning, and registration processes at Queen's University.Internally, I managed a volunteer base of 45 individuals on 4 committees (Student Faculty Relations Committee, Teaching Awards Committee, Teaching Issues Committee, and External Advocacy Coordinators) as well as the Academic Grievance Centre. A specific focus of the internal commission was improving academic support services and grievance mechanisms for individual students through awareness campaigns and one-on-one dispute mechanisms.Provincially, I served as one of the steering committee members of the Ontario Undergraduate Student Alliance. In this capacity, I developed a policy paper specifically focusing on access to post-secondary education for rural and Northern Ontarians as well as editing a paper focusing on quality assurance relating with online education. With the Ontario Government approving a new tuition framework, I presented student concerns on increasing tuition costs to the Standing Committee on Finance of the Government of Ontario.

Queen'S University At Kingston On

I was hired by the Registrar's Office to assist with implementing registration during the implementation of the PeopleSoft System from our legacy system. During this time, my responsibilities extended to enrolling students within classes, changing degree programs, adjusting citizenship and correcting maladjusted fees. Throughout this time, I also held responsibility for the official Queen's University Facebook page and Twitter Feed to ensure regular communication with students.
