About Ignacio Bulboa Foronda

Junior hydrogeologist and numerical groundwater modeler, with 4 years of experience in water resources projects with emphasis on flow and transport models in environmental, civil works and mining.Ignacio has worked on conceptual and numerical modeling projects involving estimation, groundwater resources management, environmental impact assessment and mine drainage. He has developed and updated conceptual models, involving the collection, validation and interpretation of historical data and subsequent construction of 3D hydrogeological models. Ignacio has built and operated several 2D and 3D numerical models with programs and software such as FEFLOW, Groundwater Vistas, Model Muse and Visual MODFLOW. He also has advanced skills in the use of ArcGIS and QGIS software packages.Additionally, Ignacio has advanced programming skills in Python, which allows him to perform pre- and post-processing tasks. His mastery of this programming language allows him to use several libraries widely used in hydrogeology to analyze and manipulate data efficiently.His native language is Spanish and he has advanced communication skills in English. To date, Ignacio has worked on projects located in Chile, Spain, US, Qatar and Peru.
