John Rupp is a Principal Hydrogeologist with Piteau Associates in Reno, Nevada. John has a Cal Poly Humboldt ERE BS and a University of Nevada, Reno hydrologic sciences program MS. His 24-year consulting career has focused on advancing complex, challenging and at times seemingly intractable groundwater studies. He specializes in conceptual and numerical models for saturated/unsaturated groundwater flow and transport, sitewide and district-scale environmental impacts analyses, slope stability pore pressure evaluations, and mine dewatering studies. His diverse world-wide experience includes over 125 projects in the U.S., Canada, South America, and Asia. Although John has mostly worked on underground and surface mining projects (including open pits, shafts/declines/stopes, waste rock facilities, and tailings), his experience also includes water supply, surface water, hydrochemistry, and expert witness testimony.
