I am dedicated to studying and using artificial intelligence, psychometrics, cognitive science and organisational psychology to help organisations understand and improve how people work. My focus is on turning research into practical solutions that make workplaces better for both employees and employers. Whether in academia or industry, my aim is to create a real impact through innovation.I am an AI Psychometrician, RSS Graduate Statistician (GradStat), Chartered Psychologist (CPsychol), Associate Fellow (AFBPsS) of the British Psychological Society, and Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in People Analytics at Hull University Business School.I completed my postdoctoral studies at the University of Cambridge and later worked as a research associate at the Judge Business School. With two decades of academic experience, I have taught modules on quantitative methods, psychometrics, research methods, organisational behaviour and people analytics to undergraduate and postgraduate students. I have over fifteen years of experience coordinating research teams and laboratories as a principal investigator for various grants and funded projects. Additionally, I have supervised numerous Master’s and PhD students and published papers on the development, adaptation, and validation of instruments across fields like psychology, organisational behaviour, healthcare, educational and personality.My research interests span Artificial Intelligence, computer vision, data science, causal inference, people analytics, psychometrics, statistical programming (R and Python) and advanced quantitative methods in Organisational Psychology and OB/HRM. I am particularly passionate about integrating AI and computer vision algorithms with psychometric techniques to create innovative solutions for individuals and businesses.Committed to bridging the gap between academia and industry, I have collaborated with companies in the UK and Latin America on projects aimed at assessing workplace behaviours and identifying indicators to enhance individual and organisational performance.I am currently accepting PhD students who are passionate about advancing and applying artificial intelligence, latent trait models, network analysis and causal inference to address complex organisational challenges. My focus areas include HR metrics, social cognition, and organisational behaviours, providing a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and real-world problems.
