• Planning, directing and overseeing the operations and fiscal health of the department;• Organizing and coordinating operations in ways that ensure maximum productivity;• Hiring, training, motivating and coaching employees as they provide attentive, efficient service to customers, assessing employee performance;• Establishing and achieving business objectives;• Maintaining relationships with partners/vendors/suppliers;• Handling and supervising all expenses accounts of the department;• Supervising and updating accounts payable records;• Resolving payment issues with assigned companies;• Gathering, analyzing and interpreting external and internal data and writing reports; • Assessing overall company performance.

• Dealing in supplies for ships, including everything from cruise ships to oil tankers;• Supply a wide variety of goods, including food, cleaning supplies, marine electronics, and other sundries people may need to smoothly run a ship;• Contact with company/ship management with the goal of supplying goods in accordance with the ship's demand;• Keeping track of the movements of ships and their estimated arrival in port to plan ahead with orders, making sure the goods are in stock in case a ship has emergency needs;• Setting prices and product delivery deadlines; • Arranging payments, finalizing bills and managing customs clearances for the products.

• Retail and wholesale of nautical equipment;• Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions, policies regarding payment and exchanges, and security practices; • Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on customer needs and desires.• Purchase of merchandise in accordance with sales projections;• All necessary logistics and management of stock.
