As Head of Platform/SaaS services developed and launched Geolink, a self-serve ad campaign management platform, using a combination of US and offshore resources. Core in-house team had to be tripled to 17 developers and coordinated across Los Angeles, Bolivia, and Belarus. The system saw its first production orders in less than 8 months from conception. Sales through Geolink reached 20% of total within 9 months of Beta and the system became the main driver of growth at Thinknear. In addition to revenue growth the biggest concern for Thinknear were the ever-eroding margins due to increasing ad inventory cost. To address the problem I have created a new bid optimization algorithm, and, after the buy-in from the executive team, oversaw the productizing of the new system. After a few iterations, we were able to improve Thinknear margins by 20% resulting in the company’s first-ever profitable quarter.
