Seasoned professional with over 36 years of hands-on experience in Banking Audit, Internal Controls, Risk Management, and Governance. The last full-time position being the Chief Audit Executive at Commercial International Bank (CIB), leading the audit department at the largest private bank in Egypt. Proving strong leaderships skills and key strengths such as setting strategies and executing internal audit initiatives covering all banking functions, improving the effectiveness of risk management processes, setting internal controls and monitoring their execution. My latest endeavors include successfully becoming a Certified Corporate Director by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in order to continue supporting other organization in develop their capacity in auditing through contributing on Board of Directors, Audit Committees or supporting as an advisor or consultant. Strong internal audit acts a trusted advisor for any organization leading to its success. Now, I work on sharing my knowledge and experience to support growing or struggling organizations in developing their internal audit, corporate governance and risk management in order to help them become successful organizations and good examples for others.
