• Responsible for the sanctioning of all unsecured / secured branch- based credit products within own. • Maintain an acceptable quality of lending in accordance with manual risk policy guidelines. • Asses and sanction or decline applications for branch-based lending products within own discretion. • Identify fraudulent applications. • Apply manual risk policy guidelines to all applications received.• Initial check of all applications to ensure that they comply with policy guidelines.• Maintain a diary system to ensure that conditions of sanction are complied with the reviews is done in a timely manner. • Provide help desk assistance to retail sales and support areas, e.g. feedback on quality of data.• Working with other managers and departments as well as leading a team of specialists, Teammates and professionals dedicated to meeting the highest levels of performance. • Ensuring supplemental QA and training programs are conducted for the team as needed• Responsible for collaborating with senior management on ideas for improvement, implementing strategy and plans, and adjusting processes, as well as providing management guidance to the team, assessing resources, monitoring daily metrics, and providing feedback to senior management• Perform, support or lead where directed, the planning, fieldwork, and reporting of internal audit engagements to deliver agreed assurance objectives to established standards and timelines.• Share knowledge, skills and experience with team members to guide and assist in their development.• Act as liaison with management to ensure full understanding of business strategy, plans, products, performance and risk-related issues at business unit level and communicating these to the relevant functional team members via bottom-up continuing risk assessments and dialogue.
