Healthcare & Wellbeing Consultant.Working with IHC is a unique experience. When I started here in 1997 I saw this as a transiant role. How wrong I was. Given a free hand in developing a client portfoliio for the business without the target pressures that previous employers had placed with me, I soon built a client base, many of whom have remained loyal and with whom I continue to work with.At an early stage I was tasked with developing the narrow range of healthcare benefits that IHC offered to clients and set about meeting with existing clients to establish their total healthcare requirements. From this I set up a Group Risk Department to cater for clients overall benefit and healthcare needs rather than to restrict our consultancy services to private medical insurance. This has lead IHC to becoming one of the UK's largest Independent Healthcare Intermediaries.I have now reverted back to the day to day business of advising clients on their private medical, dental and cash plan requirements and handed the group risk business over to colleagues who actively specialise in this area of benefits.

As a corporate healthcare consutant with BUPA my primary responsibility was to use my sales and negotiation skills to develop new business accounts.Working with BUPA was a pleasure and I can safely say that the sales and product training was second to none. Corporate Pensions adviser and Group Risk ConsultantThis was a highly pressurised role involving prospecting for new clients with targets of achieving 12 appointments per week and to converting at least two of these into sales.My achievements within the Cambridge branch were second to none, writing at least two pieces of business each week, winning the salesman of the year award in 1992 and winning a place on the first slaes convention held in Canada.

As a Business Unit Manager I was responsible for the sales and marketing of business supplies to the UK Market both to direct clients and through National Indirect Disrtibution Channels and Sales Agents.I ran a highly successful and profitable Division for the Philips Industry Group of Companies winning many sales awards.One of my greatest achievements was to assist a worldwide company in the development a range of office furniture to house new computer technology without a budget from Philips. This resulted in a range of furniture and desking that became a benchmark for the industry and has been copied by most other manufacturers.
