Firstbeat is a pioneer in heart rate variability based analytics and products. As a CTO, I led Firstbeat's RND, and was responsible for its technology strategy, roadmap, productisation and core technologies including sensors and analytics. Key milestones during 2017-22: increased revenues from ~5M€ to 19M€, company demerger and sales of technology licensing business to Garmin International, renewal of both Sports and Wellness product offering and RND organization and processes. Led development of Firstbeat Life (R) service (https://www.firstbeat.com/en/wellness-services/firstbeat-life-for-individuals/) from concepting to launch for service providers in 2021. Firstbeat Life brings corporate wellbeing management to a new level by combining the world's most accurate stress monitoring with easy-to-use measurement and superior UX in the companion app and AWS cloud, and connecting the user with professional coaching whenever designed. From 2018 to 2021, we designed a totally new concept, an ECG-accurate Bodyguard 3 measurement device, end-user mobile app for iOS and Android, and an automated analysis and feedback intelligence to AWS.
