Dr Ikram Butt made history as the first British Asian to represent England in either code of rugby, breaking barriers and inspiring the Asian community in physical sports. He went on to captain his heritage nation in rugby union, leading them to victory in their first-ever Tri-Nations Tournament. An inspirational figure, especially within Asian and Muslim communities, Ikram empowers young people to overcome prejudice and pursue their dreams.Ikram founded the South Asia Bulls and the British Asian Rugby Association (BARA) to encourage Asian youth to engage in sports and benefit from its values.
