Chassis Design Engineer
CurrentPassenger vehicle chassis design engineer.Responsible for following parts: SUSP Member/Links, Wheel disks, Fuel tubes.New projects launch on Russian market:- Leading cross-functional activity to coordinate new projects launch between suppliers, test teams and production plant team in order to achieve Cost/Quality/Timing targets.- Global design concept justification and optimization for RUS market. - Cost optimization in order to achieve project's targets despite unexpected fluctuations. - Managing vehicle-level and part-level test procedures. (Defining unique combination of parts or unique conditions specific for RUS project, calculating test loads and defining (or developing) test methods, test results analysis)Actual projects quality improvement:- Market quality concerns investigation. My role: to collect and analyze all available information, define root cause and develop optimal countermeasure. Activities: set up communication with supplier's and Nissan engineers to accumulate all available information. Manage additional tests if necessary. Perform decision analysis to choose C/M. - Manage C/M adoption. Release modified drawings, agree schedule between all parties (supplier, plant engineer, project manager etc.)Other R'n'D support for Actual projects:- Study all quality improvements made for other regions to decide if it is necessary to apply for local market.- Validation of design changes (such as: material/supplier change, steel grade change etc) initiated by other regions that have impact on RUS project to ensure no risk for Crash, NVH, Ride and Handling performance on Russian market.Cost reduction for actual projects:- Searching ways to reduce cost by analyzing design concept and successful cost reduction ideas across platforms / markets / manufacturers.- Logistics optimization. Supplier change or logistics route change analysis.- Managing cost reduction ideas adoption.
