Manufacturing Process Technician
CurrentExperienced in OEM and aftermarket of diesel injectors and associated processes through all phases of product development and manufacturing. Work with the processes, through the metrics of throughput, cost reduction to achieve objectives. Experienced with diesel nozzle flow testing, robotic systems, developing laser marking for various components.Manage industrial washing systems, perform preventative maintenance and scheduled maintenance programs. Troubleshoot machines, handling systems and gauging.Coordinate Engineering Activities in automotive diesel injector components development. Responsible for training manufacturing associates, technicians and coaches. Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma, GR&R, Kaizen, Continuous Improvement, Team Problem Solving, 8D, 5S principles. Perform machine data analysis and gauge capability studies. Lead responsibility for tooling set-up and spare parts ordering. Create, maintain and promote quality procedures and processes in compliance to QS standards and ensure quality of all manufactured components in cell and shipped to customer. Identify and utilize all resources required to meet department objectives by coordinating with support departments. Develop, build, and maintain operator work instructions, inspection and process documentation. Interface with design, control and manufacturing engineering to develop methods and processes to increase efficiency and cost reduction in production environment. Drive focus on safety as an integral part of the teams’ day-to-day awareness and activities. Research, design, modify re-manufacturing processes, test production methods and equipment, confer with equipment vendors. Increase manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.Experienced in Super finish, Centerless, ID/OD Grinding.
