My task during the DSNA and Conti was to work with a new Injector for Cummins and My portion of the project was to work in Germany and with my German colleagues on the manufacturing of the Nozzle assembly including the process flow and procurement of this need equipment. Procured all equipment and was in the process of running this equipment off and having it transferred to the US when the project was ended from the Customer Cummins. Procured over 25 million on the Nozzle equipment. Grinding Nozzle Bahmueller, Needle end feed centerless Mikrosa (4), Match Grinding of Needle to Nozzle Bhamueller, EDM - (8) layout was 2 EDM's and flow gage in the middle - 4 cells, Hydroerossive Grinding Sonplas

Control Valve Body Engineer - Start up Companylayout of processes and procured all equipment for the CVB and Spool. Purchased over 30 machines from Studer, Kummer Hard turning including Seckler and Felsomat Handling systems. 4 manufacturing lines for a volume of 12K per day. Improved yield from start of 72% to 98% in less that two yesrs - All processes with less than a 1.67 CPK had 100% sorting capabilities.

Statred out as the Manufacturing Engineer for the grinding cell and moved out to the Assembly area as well. In June I was also doing the supervisory taks for the Grinding cell for all 3 shifts.

I started with Bosch in June of 1978 as a machine operator - Advanced from Labor grade 5 to a 7. May of 1985 I was selected to participate in a 32 week set up technician traing, after graduation I was placed in the Valve Needle department. In August 1985 I was chosen to go to Switzerland for machine accepatance and then return to set up the line of 8 machines and that was selected for the change over lne for new product. I applied and was chosen to join the process engineering group as a process engineering technician in 1989 - My 1st project was to reduce the scrap from the Needle department from 12% to 5% and was sucessful to elminate the need for any rewaork/scrap from this process by a design change on the armature that ended up going world wide as a design change. I was then later transferred to the manufacturing engineering of the Needle department. Moved from EV1 to EV6 Nozzle mfg. for the remainder of my time as a Mfg. engneer at Bosch.
