I truly found my niche with Information Security and it’s full of new opportunities daily with its ever evolving landscape of risks and their corresponding mitigation strategies. I love being able to utilize my unique blend of creativity and logic to communicate the complexities of information security to any audience. I apply BLS skills learned volunteering with EMS to attentively assess risks in an objective and repeatable manner. I rely on my natural and technical skills to think outside the box and always try new things. Doing the right things for the right reasons at the right time helped me through taking my first job in Information Security and keeps me enjoying the challenges of the job that is different every day. Self-motivation, a love of learning, and integrity got me certified by GIAC and maintaining my certification by attending conferences, training events and webinars keeps me going, without keeping me up at night.
