Senior Program Coordinator for the Beyond School Walls workforce-based mentoring program.Working primarily with volunteer mentors and middle school student mentees.

•Provide ongoing support, leadership, and guidance to 18 VISTA members who are deployed at 14 different SCCC member institutions to ensure program success and retention through site visits and individual contact•Plan and help to facilitate orientation, mid service training, and end of service retreat for VISTA team•Lead biweekly conference calls to provide trainings for VISTA team •Monitor, track, and provide feedback on reports that document the progress of the VISTA team in accomplishing the goals and milestones of the SCCC AmeriCorps VISTA project•Assist in the recruitment of new VISTA members

•Worked in the Center for Career and Civic Engagement at Winthrop University to coordinate students with volunteer opportunities that serve and engage at-risk populations.•Facilitated an improved collaboration between community, school, and university partners.•Trained student volunteers and created support structures for them.•Organized a community and campus-wide Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service and coordinated over 300 volunteers.•Grant writing from MLK Day of Service projects.•Developed campus-wide educational programs focused on addressing stereotypes and stigmas associated with poverty during National Hunger and Homelessness Week.
