With over nine years of experience in agricultural and biological engineering research and innovation, I am a senior consultant, part of SPI's international team, and have experience in national and international projects in the areas of innovation, research and sustainability. An agricultural engineer who graduated from UNICAMP in Brazil in 2008, I have 8 years' experience in the USA (2009-2017). During this time I worked in direct contact with companies in the poultry and dairy production sector while developing his academic work in conjunction with university/industry interaction activities. This resulted in academic work and support for the activities of related companies in the form of workshops and guidance on energy efficiency and sustainability. After my experience in the USA, I spent 6 months in Australia where I collaborated on a project at the University of Melbourne to reduce losses in the pig production industry. In Portugal since 2017, I have accumulated experience in consulting, in data analysis and statistical planning, scientific communication and projects focused on innovation and development. I hold a master's degree from the University of Kentucky (2012) and a Ph.D. from Purdue University (2018), both in the United States.
