My role in the Marketing and Events team is to improve attendee numbers at our events and also to encourage eligible companies to apply for our most prestigious awards. I handle the customer's journey through the system, am involved in the day to day running of events and also handle the marketing for some of our awards.

We work to achieve this mission by influencing the context in which HSE activities are undertaken, and by working with organisations to help them improve HSE performance. My job role is to recruit new businesses into membership which is typically viewed as the beginning of a customer’s life cycle with us, as other initiatives such as training, auditing, award schemes and advisory services are normally reviewed further down the line.

As a sales assistant I interacted with customers on a daily basis. I excelled in customer service with numerous customers writing in to express their satisfaction. I also consistently topped the sales figures for the store and also, on many occasions, the entire area. In the course of my work there, I completed the children's shoe fitting course.
