This includes justifying medical decisions that were made and forming a differential diagnosis, requiring me to have a broad range of knowledge of disease presentations, etiologies, and lab and imaging tests.

I worked with a team of biologists and computer scientists to write C++ for software that identifies protein fragments.

I helped some grad students research Wenicke-Korsakoff Syndrome, which is a brain disease mostly seen in alcoholics. For my first year, I did a lot of thalamic cell counting with a microscope. I also cared for rats, gave intraperitoneal injections, and used a high performance liquid chromatography machine to read acetylcholine levels. My last two semesters were devoted to writing and defending an honors thesis, which involved a lot of c-fos staining, cell quantification, and reading papers.

I was hired by the school to tutor psychology coursework. I held group sessions (up to a dozen students) and individual sessions, and worked with ~30 students throughout the semester.
