I provide therapeutic interventions to those experiencing sexual health and wellbeing concerns. These concerns include sexual function issues, relationship concerns, desire discrepancies, couples therapy, and sexual trauma. I employ a holistic and intersectional lens to therapy and utilise approaches such as Schema Therapy, Gottman’s Method, ACT, and DBT.

In this position I undertake mental health assessments for clients who have been referred into the various organisational hubs across NSW. I undertake a thorough history taking which includes information on clients mental health history, physical health and ability, psychosocial aspects e.g. housing, employment, social supports, trauma, and risk of suicidal ideation. As part of this role, I assess the clients eligibility for a range of services offered at GPH, including the Clinical Suicide Prevention Service, Perinatal Therapy and the Integrated Recovery Service. I have extensive knowledge of other organisations and service providers so that appropriate referrals are made if clients are not eligible or require further support. I provide warm transfers and thorough referrals to other services so that clients do not have to repeat their story or fall through the cracks. I utilize brief counselling approaches and skills when completing intake appointments and check in calls with clients. These approaches include Solution-Focused Therapy, strengths-based approach, and CBT.I manage and assess the risk of clients who have been referred into the Clinical Suicide Prevention program and complete regular check in calls and safety plans to ensure client safety. This includes escalation of care to appropriate services such as emergency services or Community Mental Health if required. I regularly meet the KPI's for contacting these clients within 24 hours of referral to the service so that their safety is ensured.In this position I assist in managing the client waitlists for the various hubs across NSW and provide regular check in calls and referrals to alternative services for those on the waitlists.

As a perinatal mental health clinician I provide care to clients and their partners who are pregnant, have recently had a baby, and those who have experienced grief and loss during the perinatal period. I work collaboratively with clients to achieve their therapy goals, always ensuring to utilize a client-centred, strengths-based and trauma-informed approach to practice. I utilize a range of therapeutic interventions such as Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, and Gottman's Couples Therapy methods. I always ensure to create a safe space in which clients feel respected and safe, strengthening the therapeutic relationship. I am able to think critically about challenges that my clients face and work collaboratively with them to problem solve if required. I also assess risk and work with clients to manage any concerns regarding client safety, including suicidality, domestic violence, or child protection concerns. I work with to build on their skills of emotional regulation and distress tolerance. I support clients to feel more secure in their parenting skills and communication skills, empowering them to create helpful ways of coping. In this position I sometimes work with couples to aid in establishing interpersonal communication skills, boundary setting, collaboration, and to increase connection.
