I am an MSci Natural Sciences graduate from the University of Exeter, where I achieved First Class Honours and received Dean’s Commendations in my final two years. My multidisciplinary degree has equipped me with a unique, integrative approach to scientific problem-solving across various fields.During my master’s project, titled “Probing Chemical Signatures of Protein Aggregation in Alzheimer's Disease,” I utilized and optimized FTIR and Raman spectrometry techniques to measure aggregation changes within the Aβ protein. This experience deepened my passion for biotechnology and protein science, which was initially sparked during a summer internship at the Living Systems Institute, where I explored protein epitope mapping using HDX Mass Spectrometry. Additionally, I completed an internship at the Centre for Smart Grid, where I employed HPLC to analyze aging markers in transformers, further advancing my technical and laboratory skills.My diverse academic background and hands-on experiences reflect my adaptability, strong analytical skills, and capacity to excel in new and challenging environments.Outside of academics, I served as the First Team Captain for the Exeter University Women’s Cricket Club, contributing to the club’s rapid growth through my leadership in the High Performance Program over four years. My efforts were recognized with the "Outstanding Contribution to University Sport" award and a nomination for the "Sportswoman of the Year" by the University’s Athletics Union. In the 2024 season, I was honored to be a contracted player with the Western Storm Senior Squad, where I gained invaluable experience in a professional sports environment. Competing at this level demanded exceptional drive, determination, and resilience—qualities that I have consistently applied both on the field and in my academic pursuits. This experience not only refined my athletic skills but also deepened my commitment to high performance, teamwork, and personal growth. I also coach young girls locally, aiming to inspire the next generation and promote women’s cricket.This blend of academic excellence, technical expertise, and leadership in sports highlights my ability to thrive in team-oriented settings and drive success.
