Within my role as the Programme Communications Officer I am solely responsible for all social media platforms and our website. I create and write branded content including video and animations. I schedule and publish all content and track analytics weekly and monthly to track our progress. As well as being responsible for social media I update our CRM system, track DYW activity, involved in marketing and PR, assist in preparation of bi-monthly reports and procurement and financial tracking. I am also involved in the coordination and organisation of DYW Borders events including photography and social media coverage on the day. I assist external organisations and education in their events. Within the office I am the first port of contact for stakeholders (businesses, young people, parents and education) and handle all general enquires as well as attending meetings and events as a company representative. As well as completing my daily duties I am part of the National DYW Social Media and Communications work stream where I contribute and assist on national campaigns and discussions.

As part of my role I was one of the first ports of call for the busy HR department. I held a dual role which covered both recruitment and HR. On the recruitment side I advertised vacancies and searched for suitable candidates for managerial positions in stores across the UK. Contacting and conducting telephone interviews with suitable candidates and corresponding relevant information until they start their role. Whilst working on a vacancy I updated operations management regularly regarding face to face interviews and how candidate’s paperwork was progressing. From start to end of the recruitment process I ensured I kept constant contact with both candidates and area managers to build a good rapport. As part of my HR role I advised on general HR queries and relayed HR advice via HR Advisors and Stores. Drafted HR letters such as AWOL letters, contracts, disciplinary meeting invitations and response to resignation letters.
