I joined Shaheen Air as Chief Financial Officer of the Company in April 2013 and worked for the position till March 2014 and Chief Financial Officer of Shaheen Engineering & Aircraft Maintenance Services (Private) Limited (an MRO Company) till December 2015. I remained Chief Internal Auditor of the Company till March 2017.

As Chief Internal Auditor of Dawood Hercules Chemicals Limited, a listed company engaged in the business of manufacturing of Urea Fertilizer in Pakistan. Apart from core Internal Audit responsibilities, I also acted as Secretary of the Board Audit Committee to discharge the responsibility as defined in Terms of Reference of Audit Committee and to ensure compliance of the Code of Corporate Governance.

General Manager FinancePace Barka Properties Limited, Lahore, a SPV specially incorporated to develop PACE CIRCLE PROJECT which includes “Hyatt Regency” Hotel and “Hyatt Regency Serviced Apartments”, “Pace Managed Apartments” & “Branded Shopping Mall” with a total estimated project cost of USD 100 million. Developed various investment models for Pre-IPO & IPO investment to fund the development of shopping mall, hotels & mixed use project throughout Pakistan.General Manager Group Internal AuditI led the Internal Audit Department at First Capital Group including Worldcall Telecom Limited. As a Senior Manager Audit, my job responsibilities were to manage, conduct and supervise internal and statutory audits in most efficient manner.

I joined Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan as Joint Director in Enforcement Department in May 2001 and I was promoted as Director in September 2002. My key achievements were:Accomplishments include successful revision of Fourth Schedule to the Companies Ordinance, 1984 and preparation, publication, promotion and dissemination of information about International Accounting Standards and other corporate laws applicable to listed companies in the form of Guidelines. Issued clarifications on accounting or legal issues, circulars, Press Release for companies, shareholders and general public and resolving complaints of minority shareholders.

In the capacity of Manager Audit, my job responsibilities included planning of job allocation of staff, liaison with clients and ensuring that assignments were completed in time with due professional expertise. Also conducted and supervised various assignments of varying nature statutory audit, internal audits and management consultancy to Lahore Electric Supply Company Limited with reference to Corporatization and Commercialization of WAPDA.

As Assistant Manager Audit, my job responsibilities included planning of job allocation of staff and ensuring that assignments were completed in time with due professional proficiency. Gained extensive practical experience in audits of various organizations in public or private sector, manufacturing, multinationals, banking and non-banking financial institutions and insurance sector companies during my four years mandatory articles period with the firm. Work included ensuring compliance with managements’ policies, reviewing existing computerized systems to identify control weaknesses and examining financial statements to ensure compliance with prescribed reporting framework, i.e. applicable local laws and International Accounting and Auditing Standards
