I have been working with Avais Hyder Liaquat Nauman Chartered Accountants (AHLN) - A correspondent firm of RSM International (RSMi), since May 2009 to date as an Audit trainee. During my tenure with the firm, I have been involved in various statutory audits, Agreed upon procedures engagements, internal audits of key business processes, Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) and other business advisory engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients. My key responsibilities involved;- Engagement management, client relationship management and coordination with professionals in various fields- Establishing the Overall strategy and preparing Audit Plan in the context of applicable financial reporting framework, industry-specific reporting requirements, reporting objectives of the engagement as an Job In-charge and consideration of significant factors such as Business Analysis of the engagement including Market Overview, Strategy, Value Creating Activities and Financial Performance, in accordance with the applicable regulations- Imparting appropriate direction to the team members, supervising the progress of audit including team management and addressing significant accounting and auditing questions raised during the audit, and review of the work performed by the team members;- Assisting clients in preparation of financial statements in accordance with the applicable financial reporting framework including compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), ICAP’s pronouncements, local corporate laws, and regulations and directives of regulatory authorities; and- Evaluating system of internal control and risk management procedures identifying weaknesses therein and communicating those weaknesses along with recommendations to those charged with governance and management.- Designing and implementation of internal control systemSpecialties: Internal Audit, External Audit, Financial Analysis, Financial Management.
