In this role I got experience of reparation and presentation of quarterly/annual accounts of the company and consolidated accounts of the group (listed on stock exchange) within the deadlines ensuring compliance with corporate regulationsand working on corporate and taxation affairs of the company with the Group Company Secretary and Group Director Taxation.I was responsible for managing external audits of the company, external experts/valuers and group companies to ensure that the audit was conducted in an efficient and timely manner and for attending meetings of the board of the Directors and assisting them in their decision making along side the CFO. I got oppurtunity to work on various new investment projects at the company as well as group level while working on feasibility studies of business and establishing three subsidiaries of the company. I was also responsible for preparing presentations, analysis and reports on financial statements for board of directors and drafting accounting and operational policies for the consideration of board of Directors.I worked on reviewing the operational policies and controls for continuous improvement, designing effective appraisal system for the accounting department and introduced budgeting function in the company.I was also a member of IT Committee of the company which was responsible for getting the new IT systems implemented by IT department on timely basis, performing the GAP analysis of the existing oralce based systems and ensuring adoption of uniform IT systems at all locations of the companyFurther I was responsible for the controls, accounting, reporting and budgeting function and cash management of various units of the company and supervised the work of 15 direct and indirect reports and keeping them motivated together with monitoring store inventory levels and receivables through regular reporting to the production and marketing management.
