My role was to research, identify, procure, manage and deliver innovative and creative proposals for managed IT services and cloud solutions for clients within the private and public sectors. Framework application and management also reflected a core part of my role. My core strengths are identifying client win themes, bid writing and managing virtual bid teams, from front line business development managers to technical experts. TEG is a small company with a turnover of approx. £20m where I was an integral part of the Commercial/Business Development team, identifying development opportunities both with the public and private sector, principally for Anaerobic Digestion and Composting services, both for service provision at TEG owned and operated sites and the supply of plant and equipment. One of the key aspects of the role was to meet potential clients for developing the business including Local Authority and build stronger relationships with current clients. Preparing and delivering presentations with relevant information on the tenders or to potential clients with information on TEG, co-ordinating site visits to TEG plants and putting together information packs for the site visit. The other key aspect of the job role was to participate in tendering activities from Market Sounding exercise to Preferred Bidder stage, whereby the opportunities were either Restricted Procedure or a Competitive Dialogue Process. Bid strategy development and completing tenders from Market Sounding to Preferred Bidder including arranging, co-ordinating and attending meetings, presentations to Local Authorities and dissemination of questions to relevant departments co-ordinating a cohesive response back to the client. A technical and economic evaluation of the solutions with numerous dialogues with Local Authority, funders, strategic partners, technology suppliers, land owners consultants and other key stakeholders.
