CurrentExecutive advisor to ONR's three most senior directors, supporting them to be well briefed, prepared and equipped to maximise the impact of engagements with all audiences and deliver the best possible outcomes. Appointed as Senior Responsible Officer/Lead on ONR's New Ways of Working Project, set up to consider future operations post-COVID, informed by the lessons learned from the organisational response to the pandemic. Main responsibilities include: - Providing trusted, strategic advice and support to the Chief Executive, Chief Nuclear Inspector and Deputy Chief Executive, informed by current and balanced insight, research, and feedback and professional expertise, during business as usual and incident/crisis periods (COVID-19 pandemic)- Building strong, positive relationships across the organisation (staff and Board) and with key external stakeholders, as a representative of the Chief Executive - Ensuring high quality of products and outputs (either in direct or co-ordinated work)- Preparing/commissioning correspondence and briefings for engagements up to the most senior levels- Drafting presentations and speech materials for a wide range of events and engagements across internal and external audiences, at local, domestic, and international level - Proactively managing the Chief Executive's profile and reputation, including award submissions, press/media coverage, speaker opportunities, external event management and social media presence and channels- Proactively alerting and advising on business delivery and reputational impact issues and risks, including resolution where appropriate- Liaising with our Board, executive governance groups and government departments and ensuring oversight of key activities- Overseeing protected disclosures (whistleblowing cases)- Representing and acting for the Chief Executive as required
