About Inés Peláez
With a background in Industrial Design, a Masters in Communication & Art Direction, and a Postgraduate degree in Design Management, I have applied a human-centered approach across various projects in diverse sectors such as social and service innovation, healthcare, and technology. I have also coordinated European projects and curated the Barcelona Design Week event for three years.In my role as a Service Designer, I have worked both in a brand experience studio and as a freelancer, assisting numerous organizations in redefining their services. I then served as the Global Service Design Manager at Zurich Insurance, where I was part of the CX Strategy & Innovation within the Global Customer Office department. My responsibilities included the integration of Human-Centered Design and Agile methodologies at scale within the insurance group.Currently, I am the Senior Principal Service Designer at New Relic. Here, I lead the Service Design practice within the Experience Design team, focusing on improving and designing experiences that enable engineers to monitor their software more effectively. My current area of work is in the GenAI and Growth space.Additionally, I share insights on Design Strategy and Service Design with students of Service, Innovation, Visual, and Business disciplines in Barcelona.
