Vanuit persoonlijke betrokkenheid bij het openbaar primair onderwijs ben ik vanaf 2014 lid van de GMR van Amstelwijs geweest. Deze bovenschoolse stichting bestond uit 11 lagere scholen in Amstelveen. In juli 2017 ben ik verkozen tot voorzitter. Ik vond het boeiend en leerzaam om meer inzicht in en begrip te krijgen voor de dagelijkse praktijk van uitdagingen als het lerarentekort, toegenomen administratieve last voor leerkrachten, vergrijzing en andere actuele zaken uit het onderwijsveld. Na twee jaar de rol met veel plezier te hebben vervuld, heb ik met het einde van de lagere schoolperiode van mijn zoon de voorzittershamer doorgegeven mijn opvolger.

Senior strategic communication adviser for two strategic programs Royal FloraHolland has initiated towards 2020. In both programs I have been involved from the start. (1) Cooperative 2020 - appointed by the board as a spearhead for 2016. A program with an unique bottom-up approach on developing a vision for the cooperative in 2020 including revenue models and organization. The change communication to suit this track is special and requires an intensive approach. My responsibility included the device, approach and implementation of the communication. (2) FLOW - the program is aimed at a suitable logistics solution for the entire horticultural supply chain. My responsibility included (change) communications with a focus on stakeholder management.

My regular responsibilities encompass external communications, public relations and all internal communications. DTG was at the time in transition to becoming an online marketing services organization. Positioning DTG through PR and customer events was part of my objectives. Including aligning the new company profile internally. I was responsible for two programs during my freelance stint: an internal company-wide cultural change program and a program to improve the customer journey. The internal culture program included the design, development and construction of all internal communications, project management, activation and roll out plan. The customer journey improvement program included the design, development and construction of an internal digital platform, project management and deployment across the organization. Additionally, I lead the organization of the annual DTG staff day in close collaboration with the management team.
