What I feel has driven success in the roles throughout my career has been to take a learning and development approach to each operation. Getting to know each employee, their learning and communication style, and customizing their training programs accordingly has garnered better engagement, retention and morale. I pride myself in having the ability to make every employee feel important and providing a sense of 'being seen' at work.An entrepreneur at heart, I find opportunities to connect people with what they want or need. In 5th grade, I made hand-sewed scrunchie hair ties and sold them at recess. When this became very popular, I learned how to use a sewing machine. When working in a call center, I made custom headphone ear piece covers to go over the ugly foam cushion so that they stay clean and look fantastic.Since then, I have gained substantial knowledge in hospitality management, public administration, and immigration consultation.
