As CEO steering the strategic direction of E-Tech AB. E-Tech provides IT services to 50+ Schibsted brands and almost 6000 employees. The organization has 140 employees in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland and Poland. Focus on financial performance, efficiency and balance between pricing/income and expenses. Extensive cost-saving initiatives, including renegotiation of supplier contracts and implementation of streamlined pricing process. Current focus is the transition of Schibsted's Media business, including planning and executing the split, establishing a new IT organization within Schibsted Media, and dimensioning our operations within Schibsted Marketplaces to meet future needs.

Data has been one of Schibsted’s most important assets and essential to Schibsted’s business model. My organization has been the driving force in Schibsted’s efforts to use data to create value in a responsible and trustworthy manner.Key achievement:Successful creation of a common data ecosystem where data are collected and used to create commercial value across different Schibsted companies. The teams I manage(d):i) The data strategy program office (until assuming the role of CIO in 2022) oversaw the execution of Schibsted's common data strategy program, working closely with business units to align data usage with strategic objectives.ii) The data trends team (until assuming the role of CIO in 2022) monitored data trends and practices, providing valuable insights to guide business decisions.iii) The responsible data & AI team (until 2021) collaborated with external partners, including KTH Royal Institute of Technology, to ensure ethical data and AI practices within Schibsted.iv) The privacy legal team (ongoing) responsible for developing and implementing privacy policies and risk management practices, fostering user trust and compliance with regulations/risk management.

Upon joining Schibsted, I assumed the responsibility of preparing the organization for compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). At the time Schibsted had a decentralized structure and my task was to establish a privacy organization and framework.I led the work to oversee Schibsted's diverse portfolio and anchored risk level and approach with top management and the Board. I also established a highly proficient privacy legal function, equipped with deep technological and business acumen organization consisting of direct reports and champions. My team drove extensive change management efforts, including comprehensive training initiatives to enhance competency and awareness across the organization. I established a close and continuous relationship with data protection authorities, facilitating transparent dialogue and proactive engagement. Additionally, I spearheaded industry-wide collaboration efforts through Mediebedringenes Landsforening (MBL).

I was appointed deputy chairman of the Privacy Commission by the Norwegian government. The Privacy Commission was tasked to give advice to the Norwegian government in terms of data and privacy on various areas including education, the police and criminal sector, public administration and private sector.https://personvernkommisjon.no/

At Thommessen, I pioneered the privacy/data protection practice.Focus areas included privacy/data protection, intellectual property (IP), ecommerce, contract, consumer, and marketing law.
