Field Technician

Supported and assisted biological field studies and data collection for natural resource field surveys; including but not limited to wetland delineations, threatened and endangered species habitat assessments, vegetation surveys, migratory bird or avian surveys, and wildlife assessments. Located and used existing maps, aerial photographs, reports, scientific studies, data and/or other relevant documents. Recorded data using GPS units, tablets, photographs and field site forms.Experience in wildlife or environmental fieldwork.Field work experience in plant surveys.Consistent work with the fauna and flora within the states of OK, LA, and TX (including Gulf Coast).Knowledge of botany and wildlife survey techniques.Recorded accurate field notes and research and prepared technical documents.Safely operated 4WD vehicle on rugged, back country roads.Fieldwork performed for long hours, occasionally in severe weather conditions. Walked at least 10 miles in rugged terrain, carrying equipment/supplies, weighing greater than 40 pounds.
