As an Assistant manager I assist in guiding, inspiring and engaging a team of paid staff and volunteers. This includes recruitment, retention and development of a diverse shop team.Taking ownership and responsibility for commercial running of store including display and merchandising, stock management, maintaining shop standards, store layout, sales and income.Excellent customer and supporter service.Maximising profit through effective cost control and sales.Organising and running creative fundraising events for my store to achieve fundraising targets.Maintaining compliance with health and safety, safeguarding, security, administration and HR policies.In addition I have covered multiple stores as a roaming manager.

I assisted in the Outreach program with the National Galleries teaching people from the Edinburgh Grassmarket Group about art in the gallery and encouraging them to make their own artwork. I had to organise class materials, teaching room which involved a mood board, topics, history and lead the group. Primarily based at the Portrait gallery I also went to the Modern Art galleries where I assisted in talks about the archives and exhibitions. I also supervised the class and discussed with them about their art boxes and their inspirations for them.
