Projects involved creating programs in order to demonstrate knowledge of how client and server entities transfer data between each other. Used Java to develop a client and server program from existing code provided by instructor in order to simulate transfer of data from a FTP client to a web browser. Used C in order to develop client and server programs to simulate transfer of data between the two entities within a Solaris environment.

Projects involved creating applications that allow for the storage, retrieval, and display of information from a mock truck shipping system. Used Java to create GUIs capable of displaying and manipulating information for a remote MySQL database. Implemented JDBC in Java applications in order to retrieve and store information from the remote database through the use of SQL queries.

Project was assigned in order to demonstrate knowledge of relational databases and how to use queries in order to extract information from the relation schemas. Used Oracle and SQL queries in order to create the relational database and extract information from the tables.

Project involved collaboration within a group in order to develop a mock course management system for the university. Coordinated with group members in order to create and implement diagrams of possible interactions related to the system for different types of user and submit corresponding project results at the specified deadlines. Java was used in order to develop a GUI for the users and a MySQL server was implemented in order to store and retrieve information from a database to the GUI and vice versa.

Projects in this course are designed to build an understanding of malicious attacks along with other topics related to cyber security and defense. Used C++ in order to develop programs capable to analyzing pcap traces of bot activity and displaying information to the user within a Solaris environment. Another program was also created to demonstrate simple encryption and decryption using the RC4 algorithm.

Worked with group members and collaborated with client Compassion First, a nonprofit charity group, in order to design a new website for client. Responsible for developing and connecting a MySQL Database server to a PHP form implemented in the website in order to store information entered by users. During initial testing, a problem with login credentials preventing connection to the database was encountered, causing a delay in implementation. The problem was quickly resolved and work was resumed in order to make up for lost time and meet the deadlines for the project established by the client.
