As a volunteer for Black Girl's Dream Initiative, I have:Contributed articles and stories to our magazine (October 2021).Worked with team members to ensure proper set up of our venue (Mapo Hall).Along with team members and founder - Karimot Odebode - facilitated The Ibadan Schools' Debate Competition - hosted on October 11, 2021, The International day of the Girl Child.

Project ASHA's goal is to advance the basic and fundamental rights of women and girls especially those with disabilities who live in underserved communities, through digital literacy, self-elected education pursuits and, germane access to finance.In doing so, it is hoped that it will enable them to bring sustainable and meaningful development to their varied communities.

The Everyday Chapter, Abuja - Social Media ManagerWith its acronym as TEC Abuja, the following are my responsibilities as its social media manager:I handle our social media outlets - which is only Instagram for now.I draft a monthly schedule that allows a smooth running of things.I design posts on Canva for our Instagram posts.I keep significant dates to mind - to ensure that those dates are celebrated with appropriate posts.I am intentional about growing our following - albeit a little slowly.

The Everyday Chapter is an NGO that is all about books and the reading culture, arts and literary events. As the community manager for its online community page:I work with a weekly schedule that allows me to execute tasks properly.I facilitate the voting process for the Book of the Month and also set the tone for the book review at the end of the month.I keep myself on top of trends - and use them (if they're applicable) in relatable ways that members will find humorous.I handle the weekly community conversations - sort of a bonding session - at the end of the month.I do my best to ensure that we have at least one guest interview (authors/poets/writers) every month.I have specific days that are set with fun events - especially the Trivia questions that get people talking about books; imbibing a warm and friendly environment.I share literary opportunities and useful links to members.

BIO-SCIENCE COMMUNICATION INTERNBio-science is one of the crucial research units in IITA - with several scientists with different projects. While I worked with Dr. Ismail Rabbi, I did the following:Drafted minutes of the Product Advancement Meeting 2021.Drafted summaries of in-depth science articles - in simple English/layman terms.Acquired detailed knowledge of the different cassava varieties - genetically influenced by IITA scientists - and their different attributes/ advantages.Carried out responsibilities assigned to me.

STEP VolunteerSTEP is an acronym for Start Them Early Program - a project that was started by IITA Youth Agripreneurs - with the main goal of teaching agriculture to secondary school students in an appealing way.I participated in the baseline survey - where we went to the schools to gather information which helped to select the schools that would benefit from the project.Carried out tasks assigned to us as a team or individually.Recorded information using Microsoft ExcelCarried out team presentations using Microsoft PowerpointAcquired an intricate understanding of an Integrated farming system while drawing different depictions of it.Put my skill as a writer and artist to use with comics that attempted a breakdown of STEP's origin and how it works.Learnt how to properly draft proposals and work plans.
