On behalf of various agencies and development finance institutions, International Advisory Services carries out projects across the globe with the overall aim to strengthen the financial sector and thus contribute to improving access to finance for low-end population.Being one of the competence centers in the International Advisory Services, Frankfurt School - UNEP Collaborating Centre for Climate & Sustainable Energy Finance is a strategic cooperation between the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.In Indonesia, Ira coordinated the following projects:- End-User Finance for Access to Clean Energy Technologies (FACET), a collaboration between UNEP and FS- Implementation and Follow-Up Mission to Promote the Identification and Structuring of Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Investments in Indonesia, funded by Agence Française de Développement (AFD). In this project, Ira has reviewed hydropower projects in Sumatera and Lombok.

Working in the project of Energy Inclusion Initiatives in the Philippines, linking microfincance institutions (MFIs) and clean energy technology providers on a micro scale for productive use. This project is in cooperation with ADA - a Luxembourg-based NGO and MCPI - the Microfinance Council of the Philippines.Developing the methodology of the Microenergy Atlas with specific criterias for MFIs, carbon finance, and the energy sector of a country, in order to have a final list for possible new projects with favorable countries and MFIs. Ira carried out her master thesis at MicroEnergy International, with the project title "Microfinanced Energy Solutions for the Bottom of the Pyramid - The Microenergy Atlas Approach".

Starting as a field engineer (FE1) in the Wireline and Perforating department in Indonesia, Ira was the representative of the company specialized in wireline data acquisition and well perforation in the field (onshore and offshore rigs and platforms in Sumatera and Kalimantan) for the customers. Customers she has dealed with are: Chevron, Total E&P, VICO, and ConocoPhillips. For each service the company has to perform to the customer, Ira was leading a group of 4-5 people in the field. At the end of her first year, Ira got promoted as a senior field engineer (FE2).In the last year of her career in Halliburton, Ira was transferred to Jakarta as representative in ConocoPhillips office, Jakarta, to coordinate a project in Natuna. She applied both technical field knowledge and coordinating skills for this position.In her 3 years experience in Halliburton, Ira received technical trainings for field engineers in Cairo (Egypt) and Forth Worth (Texas, USA), as well as Business Development and Professional Selling Skills in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia).

In this internship on her 3rd year of undergraduate studies, Ira got the chance to work at one of the largest oil and gas companies in the world, Chevron. In Indonesia, Minas is the first biggest oil producer in the country, and is located in Sumatera. Ira worked under the Facility Engineering Departement, doing a simulation project of Kotabatak-Petapahan Gathering Station, to find the optimum conditions for receiving, separating, and distributing crude oil.
