The FAB Casa del Mig Punt Multimèdia is a public facility of the Barcelona City Council of the District of Sants - Montjuïc that wants to promote the multimedia world, robotics and digital manufacturing. The space was founded in 2012 to compensate the digital gap, promote the digital authors and boost the multimedia knowledge in the neighbourhood of Sants and the city of Barcelona.As a coordinator at FAB Casa del Mig I organise and curate the exhibition space, I hold workshops during the semesters teaching about digital fabrication as well as informatics and different technologies and softwares. As a team, we take care of all the center and space, managing different festivals like Visual Brazil, Robotac (Journey of Educational Robotics), Printer Party or the FAB Casal (summer camp) and taking care of the administration issues. IAAC is an experimental and experiential centre where one learns by doing, through a test methodology that promotes real solutions.As a Studio Assistant, my role inside the Master of Advanced Interaction (MAI) was to assist students with their seminar projects; each seminar was guided by a tutor depending on the semester term. My role was to guide the students through their research and development of the first idea, working on the interaction and user experience, helping them to better develop the prototype - technical support (how to build a final prototype)- and mentoring them with any other issue.The first term Studio Seminar project - Playball! - was exhibited at Barcelona Llum Festival 2018. During my internship at ilaro.org, I worked with 3D modelling software Solidworks, helping to finish some of the pieces required for the Delta 3D printers, developing an open source assembly manual as well as hosting 3D printing workshops.
