Irina Michael is a New York State Licensed Massage Therapist, a member of the American Massage Therapy Association, a graduate of The Swedish Institute College of Health Sciences and a Tai Chi instructor.Irina has been practicing massage therapy in New York City since 2008. Along with her private practice Irina has worked in small neighborhood spas such as Ettia Day Spa as well as in luxurious well known spas as Great Jones Spa.Irina's special area of interest is Myofascial Release Therapy. Myofascial Release Therapy is one of the most effective techniques when treating chronic pain associated with low back pain, migraines, TMJ and such. Irina is continuously taking myofascial release classes, polishing her skill in this modality. Irina is especially proficient in Deep Tissue and Swedish massage. Irina is excellent in pre- post- natal massage due to her really knowing how a mother-to-be might feel from a first-hand experience.Daily Tai Chi and yoga practice help Irina to always give positive energy to her clients! Because of her interest in healthy diet and nutrition, Irina can give an educated advice on how one’s health could be affected by food.
