About Iris Breutz, Phd

I am a lawyer who discovered her passion for international cooperation over 15 years ago. After years of practice as a lawyer in media, civil, criminal and constitutional law and partner of a law firm, I changed course and started to work as an advisor, international consultant and program manager (leadership positions) in development cooperation, mainly in Africa, Asia and the Balkans. My focus areas are good governance, anticorruption, transitional justice, human rights protection, peace and security, migration. A strong passion of mine is environmental governance, prevention of illegal wildlife trade and wildlife crimes and management of protected areas. I studied law in Kiel, Hamburg and Lausanne and hold a PhD in international law.
