As Director of Operations, I oversee the planning and execution of all UN Youth events in the NSW Division. I work with convenors and organisation committees to engage with stakeholders and plan logistical aspects, such as venue booking and catering. This year we have had a multitude of successful events, including our prestigious Evatt competition, in which five teams progressed to the National Finals. In addition, we have had a successful Negotiation competition, in which delegates modelled a nation in their teams and negotiated with an opposing state to solve a pressing issue. We have also completed three Day Summits, where students from years nine to twelve came together to discuss contemporary matters in politics such as the commercialization of space and diplomacy.
