As a RMA, I support the greater Front of House team by covering staff shortages and special events such as Tate’s Artist Rooms: Louise Bourgeois and Spectra Festival. This position requires flexibility, adaptability, an alert attitude and observant to support the operations and functions of the Gallery and Museums during periods of high demand; ensuring the smooth functioning of daily operations.For the building and objects this involves: monitoring, patrolling and static guarding sections of the buildings to ensure the security and safety of artworks/objects and visitors, looking for potential risks to report; following object handling guidelines and displays; putting up and taking apart AV equipment for events; maintaining gallery spaces by taking care of low-tech interactives, dusting surfaces, cleaning glass, and keeping floors tidy. Opening and locking up various cultural venues, for example, Aberdeen Art Gallery, Aberdeen Maritime Museum and Provost Skene House.For visitors: Providing efficient and courteous service at all times to give visitors an exceptional visitor experience by giving a warm greeting and providing information about exhibitions, events, and facilities, assisting with enquiries, directions, asking visitor survey questions and assisting with accessibility needs. Responding to visitor complaints in an appropriate and professional manner. Furthermore, reception duties involve administrative tasks such as answering enquiries on the telephone, data entry, filing, and record-keeping visitor numbers. Experience managing multiple responsibilities at the same time while communicating in a team environment.

In my art practice, I explore the identity and purpose of objects and places. Researching context to these ghostly impressions exposes the raw emotions of erosion and time. It is crucial for me to show these small changes to build a portrait of human life and living. Often empty yet undergo repeated deconstruction, renovation, and reconstruction. These places form fragile memories that I seek to express through drawings, castings, installations, and wooden sculptures, as well as ceramics, painting, printmaking, and photography. My work explores our environment in both its past and present. Seeks to expose the relationships between ourselves and our surroundings through the marks we leave behind. As an Artist, the responsibilities and skills I have are the following: • Meeting Deadlines for applications and exhibitions. • Effective researching. • Following briefs for commissions and creating a piece of work in response to those requirements or applying and writing proposals for galleries and artist residencies applications can also include funding applications. • Work in a Studio and off-site, following the correct health and safety procedures. • Collaborating with artists, the public and other establishments with excellent communication. • Calculating, planning budgets, managing self-employment issues and taxes. • Networking, promoting myself within events or any opportunity when it is appropriate. • Curate and set up exhibition show within my practice, then evaluate the project to the main funder. • Believing in my artistic talent can generating well-developed ideas. • Being organised, determined, and committed to working independently on my art practice. • Maintaining a portfolio (see website) expressing my practice.

Showing a broad range of skills working independently or in a team to serve visitors.For the Visitors: I provide excellent customer care by taking in cash or card transactions, showing knowledge of Museums, Art Galleries and Heritage for engaging with the public about exhibitions and collections.
