About Irma Smith

Developing and coaching people is my passion. Retail management has introduced me to people from all different backgrounds who have allowed me to help them shape their future. I'm a strong believer in overall business results will fall into place as long as the team is supported and consistently being challenged. I started my career as a sales beauty consultant and over the years I developed strong relationships with our customers as well as the team and I earned the store manager position within three years.I moved onto another beauty company and managed a total of three different locations around the Bay Area. I took on the role as the Skincare Makeup Trainer for the district and increased our skincare/makeup revenue.I currently manage a high profile location for Starbucks where we see over 1,300 transactions daily and have been seeing positive trends consistently. Being a part of the In-Place-Leader-Development program has allowed me to step outside of my four walls. I support my district manager with area planning and store manager development. I help influence overall district strategies as well as executing plans within the area.Being involved in my community is something I feel strongly about. I have built very strong relationships with the local teen center, food bank and the county volunteer center by organizing volunteers who have donated an enormous amount of volunteer hours to these organizations.
