Industrial Relations Officer
Current- Attached to Food, Drinks, and Allied Workers Union (FDAWU)- Promote and build good industrial relations by working closely with union leaders, members and management partners, to achieve a harmonious industrial relations climate that will bring the maximum benefits to the workers. - Handle grievances, resolve conflicts and negotiate collective agreements to secure the welfare for the workers. - Advocate practices to help workers up-skill and enhance productivity, in order to earn better wages. - Undertake research on labour-management issues that will impact at a company or national level. - Plan and organise membership promotion activities and union social events to expand the membership base for the union, as well as enhance the value of membership for union members.
