I was split between a research lab and the Kottman research greenhouses. I helped maintain The Emerging Infectious (plant) Diseases lab and their BSL2p spaces. I also conducted research of bacterial plant pathogens. In the greenhouse, I assisted the greenhouse coordinator in general duties and repairs as well as performed pest mitigation tasks such as pesticide applications.

Under Dr. Francesca Hand, I produced the materials necessary for, as well as assisted in the execution of experiments.

Under associate dean of the Wooster campus Dr. Anne Dorrance and professor emerita Terry Niblack, I Processed >1000 soil samples from Ohio soybean fields for soybean cyst nematode counts and phenotype tests. The information is used to provide management recommendations to farmers as part of a multi-state integrated pest management project.

Under professor David Hix, I collected data on forest composition across the Wayne National Forest to measure the shift in composition over the past few decades and developed high-level plant identification skills.
