There is nothing I love more than working with people and seeing them improve and getting to their goals. No matter what role or level I have worked in, I have found supporting others around me at all levels is the best way to deliver results in an organization. Call it what you want - "morale boosting", "service-based leadership" - whatever it is, is intrinsic to me and can be seen across my experience in Warehousing, Data Analytics, Inventory Control and Quality Assurance, Operations Management, Team Leadership, and Project/Program Management. Even though some of these roles may not seem like they directly relate to leading people, I believe everyone can be and is a leader in their lives every day. We all own the culture in our teams, jobs, homes, families and communities. I know this because I wouldn't have made it to where I am today without amazing leaders who cultivated that and showed me the "why?" behind what we were doing. When I was a Level 1 warehouse associate (and thinking of handing in my resignation within the week), one particular manager took 3 minutes out of his day to show me the potential path I had to move up with the company, if I could become a top performer in my department. That 3 minute conversation turned into a 7 and a half year career, 4 promotions, record breaking teams, personal financial stability and a future that excited someone who felt lost at the time.
