Serving customers and organising merchandise were great experiences, especially when responsibility, flexibility and initiative were incorporated. Tasks included changing the active stock, where getting stock out on time was paramount. Selling excess stock, promoting products and changing displays were among the creative challenges the role allowed me to solve. Other tasks included reporting wastage/damaged goods, returning products, organising stock rooms and resolving customer queries. Learning a variety of new skills and strategies was both exciting, and a fulfilling activity during my time at the company. Responsibility and flexibility in my abilities and time were critical when I had to fill in for a week, due to the entertainment coordinator being away on leave. Filling in required learning important information rapidly, as well as solving new problems to successfully meet release dates, and sell inbound merchandise.

Learning opportunities and experience as a front of house team member were abundant & incredible! Discovering every role available from bar to the floor was exciting and overtime was welcomed when needed, often helping with the end-of-day paperwork and cost analysis. Contributing selling strategies and unique offers in store to increase profits expressed my creativity and passion to succeed.Team training at the beginning of employment taught key team, people & communication skills, as well as knowledge about our employer & the company. Enthused by all the new people met, skills learned and knowledge absorbed I completed my training, coming top of the company's results whilst learning new health & safety, security and law certifications online.Transferring to an opening restaurant when studies arrived with setting up & training new staff was a welcome change. Working throughout my studies was inciteful and so I ended my role in 2017 to pursue new challenges and learn new skills at a new role for the summer.
