As a Reference Assistant at Fondulac District Library, I am responsible for answering research/reference questions, assisting patrons in using our public computers, printers/copiers/fax machines, and mobile printing software. I also create informative book displays focusing on a variety of topics, as well as designing book-lists for popular genres in the local community. In addition, I routinely manage a portion of our collection and evaluate quality, circulation, and physical condition of fiction materials (and accuracy for nonfiction materials). I design programming quarterly to engage with the community through crafts and STEM projects, offer yearly storm safety training, and reach out to local organizations and nurseries in an effort to establish green initiatives in the local community, such as seed exchanges.

As a department assistant for the Classics Department, I was responsible for ensuring departmental mail was delivered to the proper faculty, as well as completing department projects in a timely manner (such as completing course offering fliers by the middle of the previous semester). Additionally, I created informative visual materials to increase traffic and visibility to the department, as well as procuring an accessible board to place 4 Year Plans, Recommended Courses, and faculty information for interested students.
