As a Technical Product Owner at Auto and General I currently lead two scrum teams to ensure overall technical compliance and to enable over a dozen other teams to build customer solutions faster. In bringing product discipline and mindset to a technical domain I have introduced product prioritisation and definition methods to improve the strategic alignment and value delivery of the teams. This has involved defining and implementing team purpose and customer definition, Personas, Ideation sessions, customer interviews and WSJF (weighted shortest job first) prioritisation among others. As a regular presenter to the 200+ attendee developer forum each month, I can broadly advertise our roadmap and our key deliveries to our internal customers. To date, these have included removing over $3M of technical errors, creating methodologies to monitor the significant return on investment of a multi-year code reusability strategy, and implementing a new capability to create test data that saves hundreds of tester hours per sprint.

I have lead engagements from presales to production go live with numerous clients. Undertaken while completing my study at QUT, this role required me to source, scrutinise and present investment proposals to high-net-worth investors in the Middle East. As a Research Officer with the Department of Local Government and Planning, I performed the collection, analysis and reporting duties required to effectively allocate the $450M Federal Financial Assistance Grant. During my time in this role I improved data integrity and collection procedures leading to an improved allocation methodology.
